Php 2:1-4 "Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others."
When we gather together in Christ, then others will see Christ in us. We do not gather for the interest of our group, but we gather for the Kingdom of God. Everyone of us is His children whose hearts are called to serve Him. God can use everyone, old and young, man or woman, or even the blind, to work in His fields sharing the good news. When we serve Him, we believe it is God who is at work in us. Php 2:19 "...for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure."
We are all annointed to do His work, everyone of us is obligated to follow His footsteps. Joh13:14-15 "If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.." Eventhough we are blind, we also called to wash one another's feet. We do not believe that being blind should give an excuse not to serve Him, in fact, through His grace we will labor more abundantly so we will receive His mighty favors as we minister Him according to our callings. 1Cor15:10 "But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me."
